Catherine MacLellan - Canmore
Sunday Oct 02, 2011 @ Canmore Miners' Union Hall

“MacLellan is a lyricist wise beyond her years, and in Water in the Ground she has produced an exemplary album of experience.  Love, heartbreak, toil and laughter meld in an album that blends country, folk and pop without skipping a beat.  With a voice like honey dusted in gold, MacLellan shares the gentle darkness of her lyrics, which are sometimes countrified, sometimes lamentful, and sometimes tinged with joy.”   - For Folk’s Sake

Little Miss is accompanied by partner/guitar player Foy Taylor. Together they create innovative guitar work rooted in a vintage sound with an unforgettably energized stage show. Her original songs reverberate with the twang of pre-rock blues and post-Carter Family country music that comes alive in Little Miss Higgins' signature 'kick up your heels' style.
