For more than a decade “Live on 7th” has presented a wide variety of musical concerts and family entertainment at the Canmore Miners’ Union Hall or St. Michael’s Church Hall.

Murray McLauchlan is one of Canada's best songwriting performers. To experience him perform is to enjoy creative storytelling, social commentary and wit with a man who clearly enjoys sharing his music and experiences with an audience. Murray has twenty albums to his credit on both True North and Capitol Records and has won eleven “JUNO” awards as well as “RPM Big Country”and “Toronto Music Awards”. In 1993, Murray McLauchlan was awarded “The Order 0f Canada”

Born in Nashville, Ellen lived in Japan from the age of two as part of an International Community, this slide guitar legend grew up listening to a combination of New Orleans R & B, Japanese Shamisen, and what is now called "World Music". Her high energy Rhythm & Blues, along with Middle Eastern laments, Indian, Pakistani & West African influences and a capella Gospel numbers all drive her amazing Slide Guitar and Vocal Acrobatics to make for a dynamic show.
