Breanna Temple, soprano
Originally from Canmore Alberta, soprano Breanna Temple has been studying voice for nearly ten years. After briefly studying voice at Mount Royal College in Calgary and having completed a Bachelor of Music from the University of Lethbridge, she is now completing her master’s degree in performance at the University of Western Ontario in London, Ontario. Breanna has had the privilege to study and work with many renowned musicians and performers all over Canada and France. She has performed the roles of Zerlina in Don Giovanni (UWO Opera), the Baronesse de Gondremark in La Vie Parisienne (FAVA),and Cherubino in The Marriage of Figaro (U of L Opera Workshop). She has also performed in scenes as Musetta from La Boheme, Servillia from La Clemenza di Tito, Pamina from Die Zauberflote, Barbarina from The Marriage of Figaro, Dolly Trull from The Beggar's Opera, and understudied the rol of Susanna, from The Marriage of Figaro. Breanna has also performed as a chorus member for the Banff Centre's 2003 & 2005 productions of Filumena and in the 2004 production of Le Nozze di Figaro. Breanna is currently preparing scenes from Vivaldi’s Griselda in the role of Ottone, and scenes from Marsh’s Pierrot Lunaire for performance in 2011 with UWO Opera. She is looking forward to singing in recital again with Susanne Ruberg-Gordon in February for Canada’s Rising Stars Concert 2011.
